Speedway Tennis Tourney There will be a tennis tourney on the courts at the Speedway playgrounds if enough boys and girls are interested. Plans are not completed but the groups will probably be those who are under sixteen and those who are sixteen, seventeen and eighteen years old. The first group (under sixteen) will be known as Juniors and the older group as Seniors. There will be boys’ singles and doubles; girls singles and doubles, and mixed doubles in both Junior and Senior groups. Anyone that lives in Speedway

class or classes? Anyone wishing to do that call Belmont 0829-W and tell how much you would be willing to give toward a prize. Another thing, due to the demand for the tennis courts at the park it is suggested that players yield the courts to those who are waiting after finishing one set of games. If only two are waiting, they have the privilege of challenging the winners. This is a polite way of asking all players to refrain from monopolizing the courts. Those not playing are asked to refrain from interfering with those who are on the courts.

There will be a softball game with Dens, one, two and three vs. Dens four and five. This will be followed by a game in which the men and women will participate. Merritt’s Camp is best reached by driving west on Tenth Street to the Brownsburg-Plainfield road, then north to the first cross-road; turn left on this road and the camp is located about cne mile from this turn. The admission is five Cents for children and ten cents for adults. There are several ovens for cooking the food, lots of shade and good drinking water. The same rule applies to this pack meeting as to our last, that the children must be accompanied by a responsible person and that the entire family and friends of the Cubs are invited.
