BASKETBALL ROUND-UP Tho Spoodwty Church team will stage a big basketbail party Friday night at tho Speedway School gynin. T£ree games will be played that will be enjoyable for everyone. The local girl’s team will play tho Independent girlsj tho latter team were the winners of tho Gold Modal Tournament held recently. Tho boy’s team will play Allisop Engineering Co. team. This will also be a fast game. . And to cap it all off, the Fat Mon will play the Skinnoy Men. Howard Wilson will captain tho heavyweights, and J.T. Huber will head up tho lanky boys. The Cub Pack was visited last week by tho minister who reports that the boys aro progressing very well. Now patrol leaders for the boy scouts ares Glen Denton and Huber. The now scout officers held a council meeting last Tuesday night at tho church. Both scout organizations are progressing. The district rally will be held in Speedway vory soon with the local troops as hosts. The boys are still gathering old clothes for poor relief.
