The protracted meeting at the Brethren church still continues. Three perjsous have been added to the church. t Bey. R. E Kaufman, of the V- B } church, will preach at the W. M. in Lapaz next Sunday after Sunday ; school. Rev. Smith will preach at flight. "The North township Suiulny school I -Convention will h- heht at the W. M ’ church in Lapaz on Saturday, Nov. 23, beginning at 10 a. m. We invite all Sunday workers in adjoining townships to meet with us. We hope to see some o! the workers from Walkerton. A four year old child of Mr. Tyson was buried last Saturday. A. Hanson who has been on the sick list with the typhoid fever is able to go ; around again. Leonard Logan’s new business block is being pushed to completion. Rev. Landis, of Plymouth, and a brother of the Rev. gentleman from Huntington have purchased the hardware store in this place. They expect i to keep a full stock of hardware and agricultural implements. Mr. Will Noble has moved into A. Korp’s house, which is handy to bis j elevator. Mr. Korp h uh moved in W. L. Johnson’s house south of town. Melvin Hostetler and Miss Eva Clay ton were married at the home of the bride’s parents last, Tuesday evening. . We wish the young couple much joy and happiness. The Rev. Iscac Ross, of Buckeye City, Ohio, came here last Thursday and has done most of the preaching during this series of meetings at the Brethren church since he came. He j will leave for Warsaw tomorrow. He is agent for the Brethren Book and Tract Co., of Ashland, Ohio. Miss Lydia Abbott came home from South Bend on Thursday of last week to see her mother. Protracted meeting commences next Monday night. Frank Bennett fell from the roof of a house last Saturday and sprained his heel. Jake Trowbridge, of Plymouth, was here Monday visiting with his sister, Mis. Knott. Jake is nursing a very sore hand, having some of his lingers pearly sawed off. A. D. Johnson is on the sick list.
