Perry Snyder, who lives about 2% miles southwest of LaPaz, bad a young dish-washer to come to his house about ten days ago. ‘ Mrs. Clara Tiockwood, living a short distance north of Perry Sunyder’s, presented her husband with an heir ou last Friday. We have not learned the gender of the youngster, but are informed ; that there was no one there except the family, not even a physician. Howard White’s funeral was preached to a very large audience on Thursday of last week, atl p. m. by Rev D. C. Linville. Rev Mr. Gettig failed to come, Howard was in the 31st year of his age, and leaves a wife aud two children, the older oneaboy about five years, theissune of a former marriage., His

first wife died about three years ago. He also leaves six brothers and one gister. One of the brothers lives in Sonth Dakota, the other five live in this township. A peculiar ocenrrence is reported in connection with the Malcomb damage suit on trial in the cireuit court Wednesday last, says the Gosheu Times. !Judge Osborn was making interrogaitious of a witness when an objection was made by the opposing counsel. After some argument, the court overruled the objection. Judge Osborn asked Stenographer Holmes to read the question from his notes. This M. Holmes proceeded to do, when the jndge insisted that he had read u question not yet proponnded, but one he | was on the point of asking when the dis- ! eussion arose.
