WIZARDS OF THE AIR. __
The Great SaComas, Now With Ringling Bros.' Biff Clreun. The remarkable progress which all classes of circus entertainment has made In the past decade is notably illustrated by the startling performance in mid-air given by the DaComas, who are among the many distinctive features of Ringling Bros.' World's Greatest Shows this season. This remarkable fsmlly of gym-* nasts comprises one gentleman and two ladies, and their act is not only unique, but also far superior to anything of the kind ever be'ore eeen in tbi-» country. They actually fly through space, turning single and double somersaults in midair, and never failing to catch each other at the critical moment of descent. The fame of these remarkable performers is such that they never fail to receive an ovation, and the enthusiasm of their welcome Is intensified by the almost incredible skill of their performance. The DaComas, however, are only one feature among the many aerial novelties which Singling Bros, present to their patrons this year. The performance of Maynard and La Mothe upon the aerial bars is a novelty and worthy of being classed among the best of high-class arenic acts. It is new, unique and thoroughly in keeping with the progress made in this class of entertainment. The performance given upon the lofty trapeze by Art. and Millie Adair is a remarkable combination of picturesque mid-air posing and finished execution. A score of other notable aerial performers add to the completeness of this department of the great show. There is not a cheap or mediocre act among them. What is particularly noticeable in the performances given by Ringling Bros.' great oircu*, is the universal care given to the costuming. Many of thecosiumes worn by the performers are worth hundred* of dollars, and the shining silks, glistening satins and wealth of ornamentation, contribute to make a picture absolutely bewildering in Its brilliancy. Patrons of Ringling Bros.'shows are assured of seeing a complete performance night or day, without abridgement. They will also see the finest mnnagerie in the world, the best triple ring show, the haudsomest stock, and the mcst excit ing hippodrome races ever given under a canvass, and at the same time they will be afforded the opportunity with out extra charge of hearing Ltbarati'f famous band of Mixty soloists, the mn«t complete musical organization in the United States. The date in till* city in Saturday, May 18th.
THE CHARITY CIRCUS.
Terre Haute'* Big Show on ,July Fourth— From I*recent Indications the Parade will be Over Three Mile* in Length.
The citizens of this city are beginning to realize that "The Charity Circus" to be given by the gentlemen of this city on Ju'.y Fourth will without a doubt be the "biggest, best, busiest" local affair or celebration ever witnessed in this sec tlon of the country.
The different committees in charge of the affair report good progress. While -only a partial canvass has been made by the parade committee the willingness with which the merchants are taking hold of the affair and the Interest shown by those'notin mercantile business is enough to justify the gentlemen in charge to make the statement that the parade will certainly be over three miles in length.
The gentlemen in charge of the circus performance also report splendid pro gress. Applications are being received every day from parties who desire to take part in the ring concert and side show and it is safe to say enough good acts and novelties will be secured to keep the three rings going without intermission from the opening to the closing of the show,
