The baseball season will open to-mor-row with a game between the League team aud the Brewers, last year's local champion*. The league players will all be here this evening.
The schedule of the Western Interstate League as adopted at Lafayette this week, shows the following dates for the jooal team at home with the clubs named:
Joliet—May 2,3, 4, 5 July 11,12,13, i4 August 10,11,12. Bloomington—May 7, 8, 9,10 July 20, .21, 22, 23 August 3, 4, 5.
Aurora—May 12,13, 14,15 July 30, 3i August 1, 2. Fort Wayne—May 80 (two games), June !, 2 July 16, 17, 18,19 August 30, 31 September 1.
Lafayette—June 4, 5, 6, 7, 27, 28 29, SO August 15,16,17. By this schedule the Terre Haute team will travel 2,987 miles, Bloomington, 2,909 Lafayette, 2.800 Ft. Wayne, 2,746 Aurora, 2,562 Joliet, 2,530.
