Mr. Harry McDarr of the R. P. I. will spend his holidays in Dayton, O. Mr. Chas.' Qailagban of the C. and E. I. office spent Sunday in St. Louis.

BEN REED GOES FOR LIFE.
Yerdiot of the Jury For the Murder of Dan Hendrlokson Last August. The jury before which Ben Reed was tried for the murder of Dan Heodrickson on the night of August 15th, brought in a verdict of guilty last night and fiixed his punishment at life imprisonment. The jury went out at supper time and agreed on a verdict inside of two hours The trial occupied three days. Beecher A Kelley, the lawyers appointed by the court to defend him set up a plea of insanity and the doubt in the minds of the jurors on this point uo doubt saved Reed from the death penalty. It was Prosecutor Huston's first case and he conducted it with signal ability.
