of the Vandalia* The celebration of.lhe silver wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Prox, which began last Friday, lasted three days. Friday evening the employes of the Prox fit Brink man Manufacturing Co., one hundred and twentyfive in number, presented Mr. Prox with a silver tea and coflee set and a silver hutter dish. A lunch was served, and songs were sung by Mr. Derby and Mr. Thomas Griffln. Saturday evening fifty of the intimate friends of Mr. and Mrs. Prox were invited to the home, and each brought a silver present. Sapper was served while an orchestra furnlabed music. Later the younger guests enjoyed dancing. The third celebration was Sunday evening, when the Rev. Ffcther Sharouo and Miss Flora Sage, with thirty-six members of 8w Benedict's church choir, called. There was music and refreshments.

The Bryant Chautaqua Circle met Tuesday evening at the residence of the president, Mrs. E. E. Lawrence. Beginning with October 23, the circle will meet every Monday evening. There will be four memorial days during the season.
