Judge Mack went to Crawfordsville yesterday aftornoou to attend a birthday dinuer at bis brother's. He will be away till Monday. Mrs. Mack is still in Cincinnati, under treatment of Dr. Holmes. Sho is expected home in a few days.
Mrs. M. Zlegler and Mrs. Goo. W. Ziogler, of Cincinnati, arrived here last Thursday night to visit their siBter, Mrs. P. Gfroerer, of 905 north Kighth street. Mrs. Gfroerer is sick with apoplectic pneumonia and it is feared she cannot survive.
Mrs. Cornelia Eberle has removed from 518 Crawford street, and now occupies the Cornwell residence, 407 south Fifth street. The house vacated by Mrs. Eberle will bo occupied by Mrs. Frances M. Haborly, who has sold her Fifth street proporty.
Mrs. James Harris and Mrs. C. Mlnniek, of Vlricennes, and Walter Walmsley, of Decatur, Ills., have been visiting Mrs. II. W. Davey, of north Eighth street. Mrs. Harris Is the "niece, Mrs. Mlnnick Is the mother and Mr. Walmsley is the nephew of Mrs. Davey.
Silas Finch and family, of north Sixth street, have been sorely alllicted of late with la grippe and pneumonia, and, while they are improving, Mrs. Finch, Miss Mayme Finch and Joe Finch are not able to be about. Every member of the family was ill at the same time a few days ago, and on Wednesday, Nw vein ber, 2o, three physicians were attending the family.
On Monday evening Miss Anna tiughiw, for a year or more stenographer at the car works, and Charles Rlehlc, of the Vandalia tral® dispatcher's ofllce, were married at the residence of the bride's sister, Mrs. George Irwin, on north Kigkth street, Elder Frank officiating. None but the members of the families were present, Mr. and Mrs. Riehle will reside at DI6 north Eighth street.

Samuel S. Early and wife gave a dancing reception last evening at their beautiful home on north Seyenth street in honor of Benjamin MeKeen and wife. It was a very fashionable affair, the guests all appearing in full dress. One hundred and twenty invitation had been sent out, and about sixty responded. The rooms were very handsomely decorated for the occasion, there being a profusion of choice flowers. The music for the occasion was furnished by the full Ringgold orchestra, and an elaborate supper was served. Among the guests Mesdames Ben McKeen and J. D.
