John 8. Beach was in Indianapolis "Wednesday. Trustee Frank Peker went east Wednesday.
Mrs. Marcus Shoemehi and children will visit Germany. Miss Frances Foster visited Miss May Bryson at Brazil this week.
Mrs. David Turner, of Kockville, has been visiting relatives here. Col. Will Fairbanks, of Joplin, Mo., is visiting relatives in the city.
Mrs. Frances M. Haberly will start on her European trip nest month. Dr. F. W. Shaley took a vacation at Lake Maxinkuckee this week.
Miss Bert Lightfoot, of Columbus, Ohio, is visiting relatives here. Miss Rose Melville has been visiting in Lexington, Ky., this week.
Mrs. Charles Warner, of south Seventh street, has gone to Denver. Miss Alice Fisher will spend the summer with her parents in this city.
M**s Todhunter, of Des Moines, Iowa, will visit Mrs. A. B. Pegg next week. Mrs. Charles Badget has returned from a visit to friends in Waveland.

Mies Mandaline Kern, of Chicago,who has visited here several times, and hi well known in Tterr* Haute, will be married at hear home next Tuesday to Mr. James Parker.

and Will Katsenbach went to Danville yesterday afternoon to assist in the production of the National Flower at that place.
The N. O. Tennis club has been organized with the following members: Mlssses Elizabeth Parker, Lillian Jones, Fanny Curtis, Blanche Burns, and Messrs. Harry Burns, Mosie Craig and Herbert Weetfall. The grounds are on south Eighth street.
The following gentlemen comprises the committee on arrangements for the Iroquois club excursion on the evening of the 23rd instant: Alex L* Crawford, Harry E. Beggs, Edwin P. West fall, William B. Gray, Clarence P. Merrrit, John R. Paddock and Harry E.Plnkley.
Captain S. H. Potter, Miss Frances Potter and Miss Jennie Steele left for Coope-stown, N. Y., last Monday, where the ladies will remain until the 24th, when they will sail for Europe. Mr. Potter will remain on his farm near Cooperstown during the summer. His daughters Mesdames Beach and Smith will be with him.
