Miss Delia Hunter, of Paris, who has been at St. Mary's, is spending a few days in this city before going to her home in Paris.

Mrs. IraGrover made a flying trip to her old home this week. Her health is Improving and they are highly pleased with Indianapolis.

Ed. Manoourt, who is now visiting bis home here, will return on Tuesday to Sandusky, Ohio, where he has a place In the Moss National Bank.

A. G. Blake Is moving into his new residence, and Judge H. D. Scott and Mrs. Burt have taken possession of their new house on north Center street.

R. D. Diggs and wife have returned from their wedding tour in ihe east, and Mr. Diggs has entered upon his new du ties as chief clerk to Treasurer J. W. Cm ft, of the Vaudalia.

John W. Cory, formerly a Terre Haute lawyer has been released from the Pueblo, Colorado, jail, where he has served a sixty days Imprisonment for obtain ing-money under false pretenses.

Dr. J. S. Jordan, formerly of this city, has been arrested at Indianapolis, on a charge of bastardy, the complainant having been a visitor to his office for medical advice. The Doctor says it is a oase of blackmail.

Lee S. Harrison, and It is with regret we atate it, has given up his position in Buntln A Armstrong's drug store. He will go to Buffklo next week, where he will spend the summer, and then make his home in Peoria, Ills.

Dr. Jos. Richardson delivered an address before the State Dental Association, at Indianapolis on Thursday and Robt W. Tun Vanish was elected secretary of the association and a delegate to the American Dental Association.

George M. Allen, of the Express virit«d Chicago this week and selected material—a new outfit complete—for a job printing establishment, to be put in the Express building and run In connection with his newspaper. He will have it ready for work the first of next week.

Whereas, By an ordinance posed, by the Common Council and approved Angost 4th IMS, it is made unlawful to construct or set Are to any collection or oonbustlble materials for the purpose of making a bonfire on any of the streets, alleys, aquaies or lots within the limits of said city, and prohibiting any person to discharge any cannon, swivel, anvil, toy gun or other firearm, or to set off or discharge any rocket, Roman candle, fire cracker, squib or other fireworks within the limits of said city except by proper authority and imposing a fine of not less than 85 nor more than 925 on every person who violates any of the provisions of said ordinance.

And whereas, At a meeeing of the Police Board, held on the Kith day of June 188S, a resolution was passed instructing, the Chief of Police to strictly enforce said ordinance.

Therefore, Notice is hereby given that the said ordinance will be strictly enforced on the 4th day of July, 1883, aild that all persons violating any of the provisions of said ordinance will be subject to its penalties.
