Mrs. R. A. Wood, who has been quite ill at the Terre Haute House for several weeks, has been able to drive out this week.
Mrs. 8. K. Bundy and daughter, Mrs. Henry Biel, are visiting friends and relatives in the northeastern part ctf the •State.
Mrs. Julia Patrick and her -daughter Nellie, started for the northwest last Wednesday. They will be away until October.
Senator Voorhees arrived here from Washington Wednesday morning to take part in the defence of George W. Leach, on trial for murder.
C. A. Oook, tho new editor of the Daily News, has been made the bappy father of twin babies since he came to this city. He is doing well.
John T. McCoy and J. E. Soiucs will attend as-delegates from this State the Supreme Court ofthe Order of Forresters which convenes in New York on the 14th of June.
M. M. Sullivan, one of the traversers who figured in the late trial at Dublin, Ireland, will lecture at Oriental Hali on tho evening of Juno 11th, under the auepioes of the Land League of thiscity.
Dr. SwaJfFord is tho "boss doctor" in the north end. He has endeared himself to tho pooplfl up there by a number of (tots of liberality outside his profession. lit) seems to have heart as big as his body.
At the annual meeting of tho Aluuua Association of the Cincinnati Law School, held in that city on Wodnesday last, Judgo Thomas B. Long was unanimously elected Vico President for the «nsuiug year. •The card of Dr. E. E. Glover will be found in our columns this week. Ho is a son of Joshua Glover, superintendent of tho nail work.**, and studied with Dr. Link. Ho has the nicest frame dike in the city—so well fixed that it was report od ho intended to sturt drug store. This was not true. He will devote liis entire atteution to the practico of his profession.
