(She arrived there irom Chicago, one week ago last Sunday e-^ning, and was assigned a room at the Hord fifonse. On "Wednesday night following, sheieft herbed, and with no clothing but *-cloak of thin material, started out unobserved., Bareheaded and barefooted she wallted four miles out in the country, stopping at a farmer's house. Her feet and legs *»ere lacerated and torn, and her hair full of burs. She was taken back to the hotels and received^very possible care. She had in her possession |70 in cnrreticyand a couple of bank checks—one for 100. The loss of her property is said to be the causc of her mental malady. It is sad to hear of this wreck of a lady so recentIon tly the mistress of a happy homes, surrounded by luxury and plenty.
