THE MAIL
A
PAPER FOR THE PEOPLE.
Foster Brothers have recently sold, made and laid three elegant Axminlster velvet carpets to three of our wealthy citizens.
Many ot onr young men are neglecting the advantage of securing a business education which is so thoroughly taught at Garvin fc Jsbell's Commercial College. This model institution is now meeting with splendid success.
J. H. Chapman says tell the city readers of The Mail to call at his new place, 206 south Fourth street, a few doors south of his place, when they want good bread or choice bakery goods. Our friends from the country will find that a good plaoe for a nice lunch.
R. Foster fc Son, the popular furniture dealers on north Fourth street sold five elegant parlor suites this week. They have been replaced with some splendid patterns, that are greatly admired. Then they have some splendid chamber suites, and a flee line of rockers, rattan, willow camp chairs, bookcases and marble top tables. Oo and look at their stock.
The attention of harness manufacturers in this city and surrounding towns is called to the fact that Peter Miller, on south Fonrth street, can now fill all orders for 8addlery Hardware, Saddles and Collars, Saddlers' and Harness Mak era' Tools, Whips, Brushes, Combs, and everything needed about a horse, at the very lowest wholesale prices, and he cordially invites a call and inspection of the stock.
The Authors' Carnival has without doubt developed a taste for reading of the characters there represented, and our people will more frequently visit the Central Boookstore, where the works of all the standard authors are to be bad, and which is headquarters for new and nobby stationery, blank books of every size and pattern, and commercial stationery of every description. Button fc Co's stock is very full and any book not found in their large collection will be promptly ordered.
To be agreeable in society, it behooves one neither to see nor remember a great many things. But all should remember that for good groceries and table supplies of every description, the best that the country affords, there is no better place to go than to Wright A Kaufman's, corner of Main and Seventh streets. Long experience in the trade •nd an extensive acquaintance enables them to keep their big store house ment of their patrons, they" 'naveTJtim ap an immense trade.
