It is really marvelous, tbe extent to which tbe manufacture of elegant stationery has been pushed by the paper «nanufact«iers. I've been fooled. I sent on twenty fivecente an' a postage stamp in reply to a advertisement in a religions paper of 'bow to make an Impressiori* an'received for an answer, 'Set down in a pan of dough.' It waan't tbe kind nv an impression I wanted to make. What I wanted was to mskean impression on them keerless an' ignerant boaskeepers that go on bayin' tbeir pet visions an'
sicb, heer, tbar an' every wbar without ever a payin' any attention to what I've been a tellin' uv 'em about the White Front," which the same is Rippetoe'son Mane strete. Tbe impression I wanted to make wuz tbfcfc it's tbe only place in town (as fur as I know) where abody kin do well riitht straight along. That is, wbere they kin be shore uv gittin' tbe very best uv things all tbe time an' gittin' 'em at low prices. An' then ye see, yon can always find tbar enny thing that may be in market an' yoa dont have to go trapesing all over town, from groceree to groceri to git the things to supply tbe table. All you have to do is to leave your order at Rippetoe's and it ia sent right to your home.
