Two weeks ago this morning, J. J. «taekaeu, a traveling salesman for Merchant A Co., Philadelphia, and a cousin of Mr. John Abbot's children in thia city, arose in hia sleep a» the Grand Hotel, Indianapolis, about two o'clock in the morning, walked or fell out of a iodow, and felling thirty feet, crashed through a skylight just in the rear of the oSlce. The glass was half an inch thick, and thia check in hia descent saved his life. No bones were broken, but be was terribly cut about the head and shoulders. He was carefully nursed t»y Mr. Abbot's daughter and was able to cetum to his home yesterday.
L. A. Burnett contributed his share toward making the County Ffcir interesting by placing cm exhibition samples of his Modi of leather. The collection was very prettily arranged and attracted uod venal attention.
