Church Notes#

The charches generally will hold services appropriate to Easter to-morrow. The Catholic and Episcopal churches, having services the most marked.

At the Congregational church tomorrow morning the pastor will preach a sermon in keeping with the day, the church will be suitably decorated, and the choir will be reinforced by several string and wind instruments. The young people's social will meet in the parlors of this church to-night.

First Presbyterian church—Young peoples meeting and social this evening. Public worship to morrow at 10:80 a. m. Sunday school at 2:30 p. m. Port Harrison Mission, Monday and Tuesday evenings, Alex. Sterrett, pastor.

Asbury church is to be handsomely decorated to morrow, and the sermon will be delivered by Rev. George D. Watson, D. D., pastor of Meridian street M. E. Church, Indianapolis.

A seriesof religious services will be held in the Asbury church during apart of next week, conducted by Rev. Gee. D. Watson, D. D., above mentioned. The first service will be held on Monday evening beginning at VA o'cleck. There will also be services morning, afternoon and night on Tuesday and Wednesday. All are oordially invited to attend and requested to bring their bibles with them.

The auditorium of Centenary church will be beautifully decerated to-mor-row, and the service will be of unusual interest. The large gallery will be specially set apart for the Snnday school, which will take part in the service. Choice anthems will be rendered by the choir. In the evening at 7:30, a hundred singers from the Sunday school will assist the choir in a concert of praise. Brief addresses will be delivered by R. S. Tennant, superintendent of the Sunday school, I. H. C. Royse, President of Y. M. C. A. and Mr. J. P. Moore and a short sermon from the Pastor, on the Joy in Heaven over repenting sinners.

St. Stephen's—Easter—Early servico (Euoharistic) at 7:80 a. m. Morning prayer, sermon aad second celebration of the Lord's supper 10:30 a. m. At this service an elaborate programme of music has been prepared. The choir will be as follows: the Messrs Cook, Duy and Graham Mrs. Gould and Farrington, and the Misses Jeffers, McEwen and Watermau. Miss Jewett has kindly consented to preside at the organ. The sacrament of holy baptism will be ad ministered at 8:30 p. m., and at 7 p. m. oocnrs the annual Easter festival of the Sunday and industrial sohools.

THE offloors of our Oouuty Sunday School Association have determined to hold a series of Sunday School mass meetings in the several townships of the oounty during the Spring and fore part of Summer. The first of. these will be held at'Prairieton, on Sunday, April 8tb, preoeded by a gospel meeting on the evening previous. The exercises of Sunday will commence with a service of song at 9 a. m., conducted by Mr. J. P. Moore, of Terre Haute, which will be followed by addresses interspersed with singing, the exercises closing at 8:80 p. m. J. P. Moore, W. W. Byers and I. H. C. Royse, of Terre Haute, Rev. M. S. Heavenridge, Dr. Carsoa, Rev. Tansey and others of Prairieton will addrees the meeting.

THK Y. M. C. A. will hold Gospel meetings to-morrow as follows: At Association rooms, at Union Depot, and at the Nail Works, all at 4:15 o'clock, p. in. Everybody invited.
