A VXST serious accident happened to Mr. G. W. Bement yesterday evening, While ont riding with Ms foully, about six o'clock, be got out of the carriage, near the nail works, for the purpose of letting dewn the top. While he was engaged with it, the horses started up. He spoke to them, and ss they did not stop, sprang toward them In some excitment, and in attempting to seise the lines, fell forward against, or under the wheel, it is not certain which. The horses made no attempt to run. and were easily and safely guided by Mrs. Bement, who in the meantime had secured the lines, against the fence. When Mr. Bement was picked up ho was found to be bleeding freely from tho mouth and nostrils and serions tears wero entertained that he was injured internally. He was taken home and remained unconscious until 3 o'clock this morning, sinco which time he has only been conscions at short intervals. He has a bad cut or bruise across tho right temple and extending around to the center of tho forehead, and another across the nose His breast shows marks of a severe bruise and his knee is also badly hurt. It is not thought by bis physicians that there is any great danger of his injuries proving fatal, but ho will without doubt 3 disabled for a considerable time.

THK reunion of the ISleventh Indiana in this city Tuesday was well attended by surviving members of tho regiment and enjoyed as only such things can b« enjoyed. General Wallace, General McGinnis, General Macanley, Colonel Ruckie, Major Wood and several other of the old officers of the regiment were present and tho hand-shaking and hoarty greetings between them and the men who fought under thom, as well as botween old comrades and friends of all ranks, was as inspiring, nhecrful a scene as can well bo imagined. Mayor Ed munds delivered an address of welcome which was responded t* by Genoral Dan Macauley. At 2 o'clock, all partook of an excellent dinner which had been provided by the wives and duugh tors of 11th Indiana soldiers and to which full justice was done. After dinner, an organization having been effected and the following officers elected for the ensuing year, viz: General IXJW Wallace, president G. F. McGinnis, vi#e president: W. 1*. Hickman, secre tary Major Ross, treasurer, Colonel Thomson spoke to tho soldiers in his usual happy manner, and Genoral Wallace read lettors from absent comrades who wore prevented by one thing and another from attending. Tho following vfry sensible resolution was unanimously adopted:

Resolved, That at our next, and at all future rounlons, tho members of this association l»e and are hereby requested to bring their wives, and as many of the second edition of this regiment as their families represent.

After tho adjournment from Dowling Hall, the regiment marched through Bomo of the streots, to the great delight of everybody who
