The Republicans of this city met iu caucus last Saturday evening at tlie Court House. About twenty citizen* and a host of candidates were present. Before tho meeting opened a party suggested that the candidates treat to the cigars. Another party amended by substituting "going over to Bob Higgerts aud get what we want." At this point the Janitor commenced to take up a collection among candidates for making flres and lighting up, whereupon a large "y had business outled the meeting to order.
Milt Cooper was chosen Chairman. Mr. Lanipglale was nominated as Secretary but declined and A. B. McClain was substituted.
Milt Cooper wanted to know if anybody had anything to say. Mr. Crow moved that candidates be nominated by the regular primary election.
