We say al Dowling Hall, for they oonldnt all gel In. Tbe large audience room of the Congregational church oppoaite was thrown open and qalekly filled, and then the Baptist church w*s filled. Short speeches, singing and prayer constituted the exercises at eaah rax Lamm Have perfected their organisation by tbe election of Mrs. Beebe Booth, Prea* tdent, with a corpa of vice Frestdenta, Exooative, Flnanoe and other commit* teea, and Seeretariea, It la to he known as tbe "Woman^ Temperance Union." About one hundred women have enroiled tbelr namee, and as the Preeideut stated on taking the chair, "not for a day or week only, but for llfo, If necessity requires

A petition la to be preeented to every woman in tbe city for aignatnre, praying the city council to pass an ordinance exacting a license fee of |5Q0 from saloon keepers,

Papers are also to be presented to vo tars, asking ibem to pledge themselves not to sign any permits one to drng gists, asking them not to sell any intox icating liquors, saving for medical purpoaea one to phyalclane, not to proscribe any intoxicating liquors save In eases of absolute necessity one to the property holders, not to rent tbelr buildings for tbe purpose of being used for the sale of intoxicating Uqnors one to the hotel keepers, asking tbom not to allow the sale of intoxicating liquor* In connection with their houses.
