AN INGENIOUS INVENTION.—Man's inventive genius is constantly nun festing itself in labor-saving apparatus!] but seldom does it present itself to greater advantage than in a small article, for domestio purposes, known as "Baker's Combined Flour Scoop and Sifter," which has recently maae its appearance in our community. The Invention does entirely away with the old-time sifter or selve, which had to be bouticed from band to hand, then doing its work bat imperfectly and losing half its contents In the operation. The article referred to, is a neat little apparatus, capable of holding a pound of flour, and requiring iu its use but one hand. Nor is it confined to the sifting of flour, for with every machine there are five extra selves, each having Its special mission to perform, and all combined being a complete safeguard against "lumpy" cookery. It is simple and durable, aud can but commend itself to every one who aims at proficiency in the culinary art.
