Through sheer inadvertence it was omitted, in a notice of the Singer Machines, In our issue of Saturday, that the Singer Manufacturing Company received from their Pifsidei t, Insleo A. Hopper, Esq.,now in London, a telegram, dated August 19th, which reads:

At the Vienna Exposition the first prise, the Medal of Progress, has been awarded tht Singer Machines also bo medal for the best specimen of work done, nnd three medals have been awarded employes for superior excellence of productions."

Several of the Sewing Machine Companies are claiming the first medals of merit and progress, and we suggest that the public await further facts, before deciding who is entitled to the highest awards.
