The reason why a watch is called a watch is evidently because it is always "on its guard." When you buy a watch be on your guard against Impositions. The best way is to seek a well established dealer, one whose representations can be relied on Such a man is T. H. Riddle, who has a good reputation as a dealer in fine watches.

T. H. Riddle is now in the eastern cities. He will be gone some six weeks, during which time he will select such a stock of goods suited to the many and fanciful wants of the ladies as was never before seen in this city. In the meantime the present stock is being sold out by those left in charge at almost any figures,1e order to clear away for the new goods.

S. R. Freeman, the old reliable, with bis excellent English Watchmaker, from Manchester, never fails to give the fullest satisfaction in the rcpa'rof watches.
