THhuTRANQKHA LL UClNATION OF A YOUNG MAN. „Tbe Davenport (low*) Gaxetto vonebea for the abeolute troth pf the following, t'»oa«b from obvious rtMooi all ntuiM are suppressed:
On« of the leading citizen* of Xortb Davenport h*d an only daughter, wlio wu betrothed to a young man of fair promise, a clerk in a leading commercial bouse at Dubuque. Hi* visits to the city were regular, nod arrangementa had been made for an immediate union, when tbe bride-el&t was stricken down with typhoid fever, and, iu spite of all that skill and care coulii do, died. Tbe (Jazette reporter says "We saw ber in ber ooflln, drensod for tbe bridal of death, not for the consummation of ail earthly love. We witnessed the agony of her lover an he bent in apeecbleaa, tearlees abstraction over tbe satin-lined burial case."
After tbe melancholy journey to Oakdale tbe young man returned to Dubuque. Nervous ftver set in, and a peculiar hallucination seised him that his lost on* was present In tbo room draped in tbe same garb which had enveloped her clay. All remonstrance was in vnlti. He minutely described hfer lre**, bor appearance, and her position in bis chamber. Kven when his parents or friends would ail or stand where be declared her to be, bo saw her ulldo away and take another place. This went en for weeks, and the patient was gradually ainkiug under the physical and nervous exciteuumt when a friendly ruse was tried to euro hiin of his ecstitcy.

GONE WITH THE CIRCUS.
Had End of a Cincinnati Qirl who was JnfatiuUed with the Hero of a Oireut Ring.
From the Downleville (Cnl.) Mtssenger/T* On Wednesday night, July 2-'!, a w§nian ny the name of Mrs. Lotta Warner committed suicldrt, at 8ierra City, by taking poison. The history of the case Is a sad one, and the tnoral it points to Is not obscure. The deceased wss the wife oi a man by tbe name of Warner, clown in tbe circus, which passed through here a few weeks ago. At Sierra City she was taken sick and necessarily left behind. From this sickness she had nearly recovered. Sho appears, however, to have been tired of tho life she was leading, and the bad treatment of the man she had forsaken home and friends to follow. During her stay at the city she told the following story:
When but sixteen years old she forsook her home and friends in Cincinnati, and was married to William Warner. thw clown in the Paris circus, since which time she bad followed his fortunes. She states that at times h« had abused her, even going so far as to knock her down. In her deljrious moments, during bor sickness, sbo imagined that her husband was with her, and bogged and pleaded of him not to boat her any more. During her convnlescence she often expressed her determination nevor to live with him again, nnd expressed a desire to find some employment whereby she might earn her own living. At the lime she ran away from home, lurod by tho gaud* and'tinsel, tbe spangle and glitter of rirciu trapping*, sho
