•ara, is unfortunately, a section of country, where during the Fall months unusual care Is necessary to guard the system from thfe efffect of malaria. Persons. |east exposed and thoroughly acclimated complain of periodic headache, depression, biliousness and general derangement of the system. In those who have resided but a short time in malarious districts, or who are much exp£ed, ague or chills and fever Is developed, unfitting even the strongest for the ordinary duties of life and frequently producing most serious results to both mind and body.

All these diseases arise from one and the same cause and their nature, prevention and cure have been the sutyects of careful study by onr wisest physicians for many yeans, but in many instances the poison defies the skill of even the most skillful, and the patient' prepares each Fall for the expected attack', hoping, but barely believing, "the Ague will wear itself out."

Quinine has been found to afford relief in many cases, but there is no certainty of permanent cure from the use of it, and its effects upon the nervous system are sometimes such as to produce deafness, loss of sigh't and great prostration, while Barr's Ague fiedicine will neutralize the poison, free the system from disease and leave it in condition to withstand all further attacks. 12-2m.
