Skull Fractured by a Blow from a Boy!
Thin morning about nine o'clock a "blower" named Aretter, In the employ of the Terre-Haute Glass Works wan struck on the head by a pipe, used for blowing glass, in the hands of a boy about fourteen years old, named Fred. Waldeck, also an employe of the Glass Works. The blow caused a fracture of the skull about three inches long. The pipe, an' iron tube about five feet in length, was bent and broken by the force of the blow.
It seems that earlier in the morning, the boy had annoyed Archer by pinning pieces of paper
to
his coat tail and
then setting Are to them, and in other ways, to s'ich an extent that Archer finally drove hi in away with, a kick. About fifteen minutes later, without any warning, he lyas struck from behind by Waldock, as related above.
The injured man was removed to the house of a friend, and Dr. Link was called. His recovery is doubtful
Up to the time of going to press we could not learn that Waldeck had been .wrested.

Johnston are agents for
Brady's Bltteis, and for tho celebrated Dayton Belle Fine Cut Tobacco—best in use.
Ours, is unfortunately, a section of country, where during the Fall months unusual care Is necessary to guard the system from the effect of malaria. Persons least exposed and thoroughly acclimated complain of periodic headache, depression, biliousness and general derangement of the system. In those who have resided but a short time in malarious districts, or who are much exposed, ague or chills and fever is developed, unfitting even the strongest for the ordinary duties of life and frequently producing most serious results to both mind and body.
All these diseases arise from one and the some cause and their nature, prevention and cure have been the subjects of carefnl study by our wisest physicians for many years, but In many instances the poison defies the skill of even the most skillful, and the patient prepares each Fall for tho expected attack, hoping, but barely believing, "the Ague will wear Itself out"
Quinine has been found to aflord relief In many cases, but there is no certainty of permanent cure from the use of it, and its effects upon the nervous system are sometimes such as to produce deafness, loss of sight and great prostration, while Barr's Ague Medicine will neutralise the poison, free the system from disease and leave it in condition to withstand all further attacks. 12-2m.
