ENJOY HaVRIDE Twenty-three boys and girls of the Intermediate Christian Endeavor of the First Christian Church along with their Adult leaders held their monthly social meeting October 2, the affair being a hayride and weinei roast. Preceeding from the church the group circled the square and headed for destination, the City Park, where they had their regular Christian Endeavor meeting followed by the weiner roast, afterwhich came another hayride through the country side.

Friday Night Dugger scored three touchdowns that counted and two more that didn't as they won their fourth straight game of the season Friday night 19 to 13 over North Vernon. The home team scored first and led Dugger at the end of the first half by 7 to 6. The Bulldogs took the lead in the third period on a 40-yard run by Brewer, 13 to 7, but another North Vernon touchdown early in the last quarter tied the game at 13 to 13. Dugger's winning touchdown came as Brewer again broke loose for 40 yards to give the Bulldogs their winning margin, and they held North Vernon off the rest of the game. Brewer was 'the standout for Dugger in the backfield and Dick Hiatt at tackle and Vaught at guard turned in good performances for the Bulldogs.
