The Nathan Hinkle Chapter D.A.R. met for their first meeting of the year with Mrs. Wallace Springer. A large attendance was present with all members looking" forward to ' the fine year's program ahead. During the business session the following delegates were nominated to attend the 4!Hh annua) state D.A.R.- conference in. Indianapolis in October: Mesdames J. H. Oldham, John S.

Taylor, and Claude Ford. The

hegent alternate, Mrs. J. P. Stratton, and alternates, Mesdames J. R. Crowder, H. S. Dutton, and S. E. Lindley, were also nominated. A letter from a D.A.R. approved school in, Wisconsin was read in regard to their slf help work and program in the college which is the American way of education. Mrs. John Taylor, press relations, reported that the people living in the vicinity of Kate : Duncan Smith D.A.R. approved clirol sent contributions to the l.'.A.R. Administration HuiJdiue Fund project in Washington in appreciation for the fine school. The program for the afternoon started with a foriim consisting of Mrs. D. M. Routt, Mrs. J. H. Oldham and Mrs. Vaughn Jones. Since September 17th is the birthdate of the constitution their subject was "The Constitution of the United States The Makers a Deathless Document." This was a most interesting forum. . Mrs. J. R. Riggs read an editorial on the constitution from tne Indianapolis News after which "The American Creed" by Wilbur Tyler Page was read in unison. Mrs. Robert W. Springer charmingly sang two folos. She .was accompanied by Mrs. Frank Linnell. After adjournment Mrs. Wallace Springer and co-hostesses, Mrs. J. R. Crowder and Mrs. Ruth Brown served delicious refreshments.
