"For by one Spirit are we all baiDtized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit." 1 Ccr. 12:13. ' This is the baptism to which the Scripture has reference when it says in Eph. 4-6, "There is one body, and -cne Spirt, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all and in you all ;" the baptism which is absolutely essential to Salvation, and without which, baptism in water, about which we hear so much, is of no avail. This, as our Scripture says, is a baptism by the Spirit, a work of God in the heart ; instantaneous and miraculous, which forever makes the recipient thereof a member of the Body of Christ, the only church God recognizes; "the church of the Firstborn which are written in Heaven," Heb. 12:23; and a "partaker cf the Divine nature." This is a radical, revolutionizing, - life giving, life changing experience that must take nlace in the heart ox every cne, who will ever be saved. We have heard some professed followers of Christ speak lightly of it, calling it an "emotional upset," and "the work of a lying Spirit." wnir-h is nothing short of blasphemy, and is what Christ had reference to when He said in Mark 3:28-30, "Veriy I say unto you, all sins shall be forgiven unto the sons cf men, and blasphemies wherewithsoever, they shall blaspheme; but he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost, hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation ; because they said He hath an unclean Spirit." These who thus speak plemly say, by their teaching, that they have not had this experience (the new birth) and consequently do not belong to Christ at all, but are just blind leaders of the blind. We are aware of the fact that it says in Mark 16:16, "He that belieyeth and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believeth' not

shall be damned," but the same Scripture says, "Ye must

be born again ana except a man De born agam, ne cannot see the kingdom of God" and no verse of Scripture can be taken separately, but must be interpreted in relation to others, in the same Book. Then too, believing includes avgreat deal. Unless we believe, as we read in Heb. 10 :39, "to the saving of the soul." we have "believad in vain." This is emphasized beyond question in 1 Cor. 13:2 where we read, "Though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have net charity, it profiteth me nothing" and as we have said before, charity is the love of God "which is shed abroad in our hearts bv the Holy Ghost, which is given unto us;" and includes only the born again because they alone have the Holy Ghost. Unless we, as we read in 1 Peter 1:9,

have "received the end of our faith, even the salvation of

cur soul," we are 'still outside of Christ and are in the same condition as Simgn, the sorcerer, who, although he

had believed (or pretended to believe) and been baptized, was ."still (?n the gall of, bitterness and the bond of iniquity," Acts 8:1323-Tri in plain vorterh"'" still unsaved. We do not mean to disparage baptism in water, be

cause we believe it to be taught in the Scriptures, but it

is net the all important baptism, and to depend on it for salvation is a mighty flimsy foundation on which to build, because it can only fail you in the hour cf death. There

will be Jiterally millions in Hell who have been baptized in water, but are still unsaved, but there will not be any there who have had this baptism by the Spirit into the Body of Christ. Don't let any man deceive you into thinking that they can baptize you into Christ, or in any way make you fit for the kingdom of God. This is work that can be accomplished only by the Holy Spirit through the miracle of regeneration, and without which all must go to Hell forever. Even if you could go to Heaven in your unregenerated state (which you art not), it would be Hell for you, because ycu, like a fish out cf water would be out of your element. Have ycu had this bapt'sm by the Spirit, which alone can make you fit for Heaven ? (Adv.)
