World War I Vets To Get Dividend WASHINGTON, Sept. 1 (U.R) The Veterans Administration will dip into its World War I life insurance trust fund early this month to pay out a $40,000,000 special dividend to 435,000 permanent plan policyholders. It announced last nigrjt that the special dividend, ranging form a few dollars to several hundred dollars, will go to those veterans who took out U. S. government life insurance prior to Jan. 1, 1944 and who havs kept it in force through December, 1948. This dividend, VA pointed out, has nothing to do with( the forthcoming $2,800,000,000 special dividend that will be paid out, starting early next year, to about 16,000,000 World War II poli;yhold-' ers. These veterans of the recent war now are filling out their special dividend applications, but will receive no money until 1950.
