OBITUARY OF MRS. CHAUNCEY R. PIETY
Effie Myrtle Fuller, daughter of George H. and Sarah Fuller, was born February 1, 1884, at Fairbanks, Indiana, and departed this life from the Christian Parsonage, Farmington, Missouri, on August ,22,,, 1949, at the age of 65 years,, 6, jponths, 21 days. ,
She spent her girlhood days in a farm home near Fairbanks, Indiana, and graduated from the Fairbanks High School, and also from Central Normal College, Danville, Indiana. She then taught school three years. While teaching' she became acquainted with Chauncey R. Piety, who was also a teacher, and they were united in marriage August 10, 1908, at her parents' home, Dr. O. B. Whitaker, President of Union Christian College, officiating. To this union one son and four daughters were born, all of whom are living. In her teen years she became a Christian, uniting with the Church of Christ; and after her marriage she transferred her membership to the Christian church with her husband. She was loyal to her church and unwavering in her faith to the end. When her health was good she taught in the Bible School and worked in the 'women's auxiliaries. She maintained her membership in the Eastern Star and Rebekahs and enjoyed the fellowship of these orders. Mrs. Piety is survived by her husband, Pastor Chauncev R.

TRIESTE, Aug. 26. (UP) Yugoslavia's largest known oil refinery was set afire by saboteurs yesterday and was still' ablaze today, according to reliable reports reaching here. ,. . Informants said the fire broke' out simultaneaously in four places in the Romsa refinery in Fiume, which Yugoslavia received from Italy under the peace treaty. ,, They said the Fiume fire brigade and Yugoslav troops were battling to bring the blaze under! control, but that it appeared the fire would continue for another 48 hours. Only a few days ago a Yugoslav government official warned Yugoslav workers to beware of! sabotage by agents of the Kremln and the Cominform. The warning was issued after three unexplained train wrecks and a disastrous fire that broke out in the largest ship of the Yugoslav merchant marine in Dalmatian waters.
