SOCIETY DELTA THETA TAU MEETING HELD Invitations reading "Sundaes on Monday" most appropriately named the midsummer monthly party of the local chapter of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority, when trscy gathered at Mrs. William Theal's, 235 W. Giles Street, last Monday evening. Under a spacious canopy, Jimmy Theal and bis corps of "Skipper" Oldham, Wally Robertson, and Paul Howe, who were so garbed and so designated as soda jerks delux, served some forty Delts in a manner quite professional. After an appreciable consumption of Delt Specials and concoctions unusual, the party- was turned over to Mrs. Earl Hand-

The men enoyed the horseshoe court at the park, but for some reason the winner was never announced. The children were entertained with the many attractions.
Unit 139 of the Seventh District sparingly; bulk good and choice
for the most gold stars. were awarded to Chairman Mary Parks and Junior Chairman Ruby Holdson for her excellent work. President Arlie Springer appointed the unit's executive committee to serve with the unit officers. They are Minnie Greenberg, Dorothy Hawkins and Mary Parks. The meeting was closed in usual manner.
DISTRICT MEETING The District meeting of No. 38 will be held at Shelburn September 2. The State President will be there. Dugger will put on the work. A fine program will be given in the afternoon. Note change in date of meeting.
CURRY HOMEMAKERS MEET The Curry Homemakers and the Onward clubs held a joint picnic at the Sullivan City Park Tuesday, August 17. A bountiful luncheon was served in the shelt
