CLASS OF 1934 TO HOLD REUNION The graduating class of 1934 of Dugger High School is planning a class reunion to be held at the Sullivan City park on September 4. MAN KILLED BY ELECTRICAL SHOCK TERRE HAUTE, Aug. 18 U.R) Andrew P. Padish, age 25, of Universal, was killed last night by an electric shock while working as a driller in the Green Valley coal mine. west of here.

Mayor Enters Gas Strike In Chicago CHICAGO, Aug. 18 (UP) Mayor Martin H. Kennelly today intervened In the week-old gasoline drivers strike as supplies in the Chicago area dwindled to the war-time rationing level. The mayor called a meeting In " his office between representatives of the major oil companies and striking AFL teamsters and Federal Mediator Thomas J. Cleland. Kennelly said he acted after he received numerous complaints from business and industrial plants whose operations have been hampered by the strike. Motorists found that gasoline almost was unobtainable as some independent distributors announced they, had haite deliveries because air had f. teen let out of their tires.
