HUSBAND FAINTS AFTER BABY COMES EVERETT, Mass., Aug. 19 (UP) Mr. and Mrs. Francis M. Morrisey were .reported "doing

fine" today after the birth of a seven-pound six-ounce daughter. Morrisey, age 25, delivered his wife of the child then fainted when the doctor arrived.

. Here is about how the nine opponents on the Arrow schedule will stack up this year. Washjington will have a new coach, and should be about as they were last year. Then come Garfield and Gerstmeyer, and both schools should be a little stronger than last season. And the Black Cats won't forget that 19 to 18 win the locals chalked up last year. Brazil lost a lot, but they have a lot back, and will be about even with last year.

The Yanks, through their victory, gained half a game on the Boston Red Sox because the Sox were idle; Cleveland, the other major -contender, bounced back from Wednesday's humiliating twin defeats by pounding out a 14 to 4 victory over the St. Louis Browns. The Brooklyn Dodgers had a chance to gain a tie for the National League lead since the St. Louis Cardinals, were idle, but instead the Dodgers dropped a 9 to 5 decision to the Phillies arid fell a full game off the pace. It was a clean sweep of uie three game series for Philadelpnia, the second time the Phils have swept a Dodger series. A five run rally in the sixth proved to be tha Brooklyn undoing. The Phils ' belted five extra base hits in that frame, including Del Ennis' 18th homer and another by Willie Jones. Homers also marked victory for the Braves as they beat the

Giants, 10 to 6. Bob Elliott and Jeff Heath each homered in the seoond, Elbie Fletcher, hit one in the third and Jim Russell still another in the sixth! Rookie Jim Walsh held the Cubs to three hits and Ralph Kiner drove in two runs for a 2 to 0 Pirate triumph in the only other National League game. .
