Negro boy, Willie Ed Cunningham, drowned yesterday in a ditch near the Porter-Lake County line. The body was recovered by State Police and Dunes Stats Park lifeguards, and the Gary f ire department made an unsuccessful attempt to revive the boy. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tommie Lee Cunningham.
