CIO STEELWORKERS OFFICIAL DIES PITTSBURGH, July 20. (UP) Van A. Bittner, trouble-shooting international vice president of the' CIO United Steelworkers, died of a heart, attack in Mercy Hospital last night. He was 64.' The fiery labor leader, head of the CIO's southern organizational campaign, had been under treatment for a heart ailment at the hospital for the past two weeks. He died in his sleep at 11:50 p.m.
