Jim Farris, who is employed at Pana, 111., spent the week-end with his mother, Mrs. Don Dudley. Mrs. W. Jennings, Mrs. W. D. Bolinger, and Mrs. Otis Riggle visited Mrs. Don Lloyd and family Tuesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Scott and daughters, Jodene and Sue,- of Detroit, Michigan, are visiting friends and relatives here this week. They were accompanied by Arlene Stephenson. Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Arnold and son, Andy, have been called to Sioux, Iowa due to the illness of the formen's father, Walter C. Arnold. Miss Margaret Everman of Showlow, Arizona, is spending the summer with Mr. and Mrs. Qorffe T.vnch. . Mrs. Zoe Bays and Miss Minne Mattix visited Mrs. William Goldberg in Linton Monday evening.

Nelson A. Flynn of 1615 North Main St., Sullivan, has completed recruit training at. the . Naval Training Center, San Diego, Calif. Flynn entered the Naval service April 11, 1949, at the Naval Recruiting Station, Indianapolis. Before entering the Navy he attended Sullivan High School.

Hymera Wins First Half Softball Title
Games Thursday Shelburn vs. Carlisle. Hymera vs. Dugger. Games Friday Eagles vs. Rickards. Legion vs. Prison Nine.'
Hymera won the first half championship of the Softball league last night by beating the Carlisle outfit by a score of 9 to 1. Scamihorn, pitching for the Jackson Township outfit, had no trouble with the Carlisle batters except for Lee Davidson, who hit a home run for the only Carlisle score. Davidson was the losing pitcher. i In the first game of the second half Graysville won an easy victory over Shelburn by a score of 13 to 2. Nichols was the winning pitcher for Graysvile while
Hoesman lost for Shelburn.
