Cities May Seek Housing Bill Aid CHICAGO, July 13 (UP)
Seventy-three of 82 cities surveyed by the American Municipal Association plan to seek financial help under the new national housing bill to cjear their slum areas. ! Most of them plan to develop I the land into public low-rent
housing under Federal aid provided in the ' bill. Others will turn the1 cleared land over to private builders for redevelop-

The survey was made among cities of more than 50,000 population. Of the 73 reported ready to seek aid, 37 said they were ready to do so immediately.
