BIRTHDAY PAkTY HONORS JOHN R. MOON Little friends of John Randall Moon were delightfully entertained Sunday afternoon at Holt Hall in Merom in celebration of his- sixth birthday. Those attending were Sue Ellen Johnson, Janice Smiley, Nancy Kelsey, Nancy Johnson, Sue Ann Copeland, Conrue Johnson, Karen Coyner, Judy Johnson, Mary Ann Roseberry, Nancy Davis, Jimmy and Tommy Cooper, Mike Kelly. Mike Chilcote and the honored guest, John Randall. Games were enjoyed by all and refreshments served. Those assisting Mrs. Moon were Mrs. Maurine Kelly, Connie Johnson, Miss Ruth Pleasant and Mary Jane Moon of Sullivan. Mrs, Lulu Cooper, Parker Cooper and Orville Moon were also present.

Ramona Reid, student nurse at Union Hospital, spent the holidays at home Miss Betty Lisman is spending this week with the Fuldnoeyer family in Huntingburg, Indiana., Bob Johnson and Oscar Everhart have returned to New Albany, Indiana after spending the holidays here with Mr and Mrs. Earl Johnson and Judy. Bonnie Milam is spending the holidays with Mr. add Mrs. Ralph Corder and family at Martinsville, Indiana. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Jackson and family of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, spent Christmas here with Mr. and Mrs. George Jackson. Ben Vigus of Sullivan spent Tuesday . here with friends and relatives. Wayne Johnson spent Christmas in Indianapolis with friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Hoilman and son of Robinson, Illinois, Jean Hoilman of Washigton, and Mrs. . Cora Cramer were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Rea Hoilman, The dinner was in honor of the birthday of Bernard Hoilman. Word has been received here that Lucian Fleming, former teacher in the Merom school, recently urderwent a major operation at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Lafayette and has now been removed to his home to recuperate. He is now teaching in the Battle Ground schools. Mi, and Mrs; Bill Johnson and Wayne Johnson spent' Tuesday in Terre Haute.

SORORITY MEETS . Members of Epsilon Mu chapter of Delta Theta Tau met at the American Legion Home recently for their annual Christmas party and covered dish dinner. The tables were cleverly decorated and centered with a tall red taper and various yuletide favors at each pla-ce setting. After' enjoying the delicious meal, group singing of Christmas carols and Christmas games were played. The members 1,hen gathered in the fountain room where a pleasant surprise awaited. Sarah Smith sang "All I Want for Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth." Santa arrived shortly and distributed the gifts. The committee in charge was Lotus Willis, Helen Smith, Norma Harris, Barbara Brown, Geneva Willis and Elizabeth Springer. Guests attending were Mary Lou Gettinger, Leona Gettingcr, and. Mrs. Lucille Sotzen. . ,
