From Oldest To The Youngest Member Of Our f Organization, We're Wishing You All A - - -

Don't be misled by the foregoing picture . . . we are not a skyscraping department store. But if we were the operators of a large department store such as this, every department would be bursting with stores of well wishes for your holiday season, just as every department of cur Petroleum Service Company wUh all included employees are wishing you. ( In little things most men can expound for hours on end saying fine speeclres but in the profoundly simple, heart-touching moments such as the Christmas spirit presents, only the plainest, most humble expressions can be put into words. With all the good things .that have come our way the past year and viewing the evident prosperity our nation is enjoying at this Yule season, we, too, find it hard to call to mind eloquent phrases. Perhaps jou, also, find a lot to be thankful for m we'll just repeat our foregoing wish of a "Merry Christmas" and supplement it with

Brown Or While, ' All Eggs Alike

WASHINGTON (UP) Food superstitutions die hard the Agj riculture . Department says.

Take , the one ahout eggs. Many people say 'they prefer

brown-shell eggs to white or

vice versa. But eggs are eggs,

the department says. There's no difference, in taste (if both kinds are fresh) or nutritive value.

Then there is the housewives'

argument over the relative merits of cane and beet sugar for jelly making. There's no chemical dif

ference whatever,' according to

the experts.

No Danger In Cans Some folks still cling to the notion that fcod will spoil if set away in a can. Although such acid foods as fruit or tomatoes

may acquire a slightly metallic taste, they are not damaged. Food also may be kept safely in aluminum utensils, the department says. A daskening of the aluminum does not indicate

harm to the food. , Many food fallacies are concerned with combinations of certain dishes at the same meal. There's no need to hesitate about drinking milk with fish, sour cherries, tomatoes or any other food. If some of the com? binations "curdle in the

! stomach", so much the better for 1 your digestion. No two foods

that are good for you separately will hurt you when eaten together, nutritionists explain. And in case anyone is still wondering, appendicitis is not caused from eating fruit seeds.

Urge Healthy Diet For Good Teeth - MINNEAPOLIS (UP) A healthy diet and good medical care will go a long way toward preventing children's mental disturbances caused by poorlyformed teeth. That is the consensuc of a

dental health workshop at the University of Minnesota, attended by dentists from throughout the state. They examined, among other things, the relationship between mental balance and facial de

fects caused by crooked teeth. Dr. Thomas Speidel of the university's dentistry school, said badly-formed teeth rsult in such things as inferiority complexes. "For . example," Speidel ' said, "an otherwise pretty girl with

crooked teeth 'in many cases ( will suffer just as surely as will 'a person with diseased teeth." But Speidel added,"If parents 1 can keep a child healthy, give him an adequate" diet and insist

on good periodic dental they, have done their toward a good-looking structure."

THE UNKNOWN WOMAN O' Holy Night when Christ was born,

I Who cared for Mary until morn? Shepherds, wise men, dumb

beasts in the stall? Joseph and angels, but was that all? No one the unknown, woman's praises sings, . She who wrapped the babe in soft downy things, And laid the infant Christ to rest On Mary's happy, trembling breast. She who comforted the bewildered stranger, Made her a bed in the cattle's manger Faihful woman, who did the humane deed Of caring for a mothr in her hour of need.
