Bandit Gets $5,090, All He Needs, In Theft WAYNETOWN, Ind., Dec. 9 (UP) A bandit who said he only wanted $5,000, although there was more cash in the vault, held up the Waynetown State Bank during the noonhour lull today and escaped leaving the rest of the bank's money behind. . Sheriff Roy Hardaker 'said flic man entered the bank at about 11:30 a.m. while only a small force was on duty. It is the only bank In this

town of 1,000 population.

Hardaker said the . bandit drove: away in a 1938 blue Buick sedan. He was last seen headed east on Ind. 34. The bandit, described as a well-dressed young man, walked into the bank and asked for a conference with the bank's vice 1 president, Ernest Pyle. Then he pulled a gun. "I want $5,000," he was quoted as saying. He followed Pyle into the bank vault, still holding the gun. Mrs. Clara Richardson, a cashier and the only other person on duty besides Pyle, and a patron said they did not realize a robbery was in progress. Pyle said the bandit took only $5,000 the amount he specified although, he said, there wa? more,, cash in the vault. Then he forced Pyle to lie on the ' f looi of h'is office. The bandit then

ran out of the bank and jumped into a parked car.
