C?rol Setty, Peggy Decker, Carolyn Anderson, Karen Rickard, and Faye Milbourne. We had one Red Letter day last week. Grade 4, Miss Doutthitt: We have had four days of perfect attendance this week. Bobby Richardson was ill Thursday, but he is back in school now. Twenty-four of our twenty-nine children have not been absent since school started. We enjoyed the movie "Joan Avoids a Cold". We will try to remember some of the things we learned so we may avoid colds. Kathryn Webb celebrated her birthday Oct. 12. We wish her many more 'happy birthdays. Several children- brought bou quets of flowers for our room this week. We thank them for they made our room very cheerful and gay. Grade 5, Miss Exline: . Miss Cook gave a demonstration lesson in science in our room Thursday afternoon. Our science book is published by Scott, Foresman and Company and Miss Cook' represents the missed the fun because th were absent. company. The fourth, fifth and sixth grade teachers observed the demonstration. We were so interested in learning how to make a fire and control a fire that we forgot that all the teachers were there. We were sorry that Billy Gibbon, James Harvey Smith, Janet Clemens and Phillip Morrison We enjoyed having Josephine Donovan as our student teacher.
