KAUFMAN-SMITH VOWS READ Miss Mary Ann Kaufman, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Kaufman of 303 East Jackson -Street, became the bride of Jackie B. Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bervile Smith of 453 South Court Street, at twilight yesterday. The double ring candlelight service was performed at 5:30 o'clock by the Rev. Father Henry Bilz in the rectory of St. Mary's Church. Nearly one hundred relatives and friends of both the bride and bridegroom heard the vows read and exchanged before an improvised altar of fernery and white chrysanthemums silhouetted by twinkling tapers. Preceding and during the ceremony bridal music was played by Mrs. Frank Linnell and Miss Grace Linnell sang "My Hero" and "Because." The bride, given in marriage by her father, approached the altal to the soft tones of Lohengrin's Wedding March. She was attired in a suit of ice blue slipper satin touched off by grey accessories. She carried a colonial bouquet of pink rosebuds and baby mums. Miss Mary Ann Kerlin was maid of honor. She w.-;re a grey dress with black accessories and a corsage of red rosebuds. The bridegroom was attended bv Billy Paul Pierf.on as best' man. Both wore fall suits with boutonnieres of white carnations:.
