Ex-bank cleric Ex-model JOBS UPON A TIME John Wesley Snyder, secretary of the United States Treasury department, was born in Jonesboro, Ark.; studied in Vanderbilt university. Snyder worked in various banks in Arkansas and Missouri, and became national bank receiver, office of the controller of currency, Washington, D. C, in 1930, serving until 1936. Snyder was appointed director of the federal loan administration in 1945, but resigned. His appointment as secretary of the treasury came in 1946.
