PLEASANTVILLE Rev. and Mrs. Karns called cn the .towards Saturday afternoon. Rev, and Mrs. Karns were in Graysville Tuesday evening. They attended church services at Dodd Bridge that night. Mrs. Willard Andis and son Warren, calle on Jake Andis Saturday. Clarence Rose returned home Saturday from Evansville where he has been the guest rA his sister, Mrs. Tucker. Mrs. Dot Timmerman returned to her home Thursday from the hospital. Her condition is satisfactory. Mrs. Willard Andis entertained with a six o'clock dinner Thursday evening in honor of Jake Andis who was celebrating his 84th birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Brown of Indianapolis, were dinner guests Sunday of Mrs. Julia Br.Twnand daughters. Miss Joyce Harbin spent the week-end at home. Rev. and Mrs. Karns and Mrs. Estella Howard called on Mrs. Dot Timmerman Sunday morning.
NOTICE 10 BIDDERS The Board of School Trustees of the Sullivan City Schools will sell O d Central School Building located on school property on the north side of Beech Street between .Court and Main Streets at private sale in the office of the superintendent of schools at 4 p. m. on Thursday, October 14, 1948. subect to the following terms and conditions, namely: With the exception of the contents of th e cornerstone, the school bell, and the Iron fire escape which are to be delivered to the Board of Trustees as the building is torn down, the entire building to include everything permanently attached thereto is to be sold. The purchaser will be required to tear down and remove every part and parcel of the building and restore the ground beneath to its original level state. The purchaser will be required to execute a performance bond in the penal sum of five thousand dollars
($5,000.00) and to insure the Board

Sealed bids will be received at the office of the superintendent of schools until the hour of sale. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check in the amount of the bid and a statement as to the date the removal will be completed. Certified check of unsuccessful bidders will be returned immediately after the sale. Sale will be made to the highest and best bidder and for not less than the appraised valuation. The execution of a bid by the purchaser and its acceptance by the Board of School Trustees constitute an inevocable contract on the terms listed heretofore. The building is open for inspection during week days and until noon on Saturdays until date of sale.
