CROSS AND CROWN CLASS ' The Cross and Crcwn class of the Mt. Moriah Sunday School met recently at the home of Miss LaVern Bedwell of Freelandville. The meeting opened with singing "He Leadeth Me." Prayer bv He v. Kami. Scripture lessen, fifteenth chapter, of St. John, was read by Mrs. Faye Cox of Bicknell. Song "Jesus Means Everything to Me." "Miss LaVern Bedwell gave a reading "Thoughts for the Week," and Mrs. Berniece Morris sp.ike on the subject "No Atom There." Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Cox sang "Back of the Clbuds" during which Mrs. Fern King painted in color thf. thoughts suggested by the mind picture in the song. The program was adjourned by singing "Cleanse Me."

MAHAN-FOUTZ VOWS READ Eva Loralie Mahan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Mahan of Hymera and John C. Foutz, son of Rev. and Mrs. J. C. Foutz of Pimento, were united in marriage at the home of the bridegroom's uncle. Byron Foutz, Saturday afternoon, Sent. 11, at 2 p. m. The double ring ceremony was read by the bridegroom's father before an altar of flowers. The bride wore a steel grey suit with black accessories and a corsage of red rosebuds. The bridegroom wore a blue suit. Nellie Faye . Foutz, cousin of the bridegroom, was maid of honor and Lowell Badger was best man. The bride and bridegroom are both graduates of Hymera High School and the bridegroom is now a senior in Pharmacy at Butler University in Indianapolis. "A recept-rm was held immediately after the wedding. Refreshments of ice cream, angel food cake and iced tea were served to Mrs. Harold Smiley, Mrs. Carol Shipley and daughters, Dorcia Irene, and Carol Ruth, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Bond and Frances of Andersen. INSTALLATION Members of Tri Kappa met at the home ci Mrs. E. F. Springer Monday night, September 13. After the regular business meeting the chapter had installation of officers. Mrs. Ruth Poole is the president for the coming year with Betty Sinclair, vicepresident; Mary Campbell, recording secretary; Maurine Medsker, corresponding secretary; and Lorene Hankins, treasurer. The installation- services were followed by an informal party in honor of the retiring officers and as a welcome to the new. Hostesses were Louise Billman, Caroline Radar, Kay Coffey and Rachel Springer.

The bride was employed before her marriage, in the office of the Sullivan Telephone Company. The bridegroom is a senior at Purdue University, where he is majoring in an agricultural course.
