Watchmen, What of the Night" : accomrianied by Mrs. Bosstick and Mrs. Wernz on the harps. Iva Myers gave a short devotional talk ' on Christmas Angels. Jeanette Wernz told the story ."The Little . Angel" by Charles Tazewell. .Audrey Grahapi showed some .' interesting piqees of work done by natives of Jislands on which her husband 1 wns stationed during the war. These consisted of baskets, slip- i pers. pocketbooks and grass skirts. The remainder of the evening was spent ih conversation and all departed at a late hour vowing this a Christmas party to be long remembered. The unit wishes to thank the ones who helped in the splendid program. Every number was thoroughly enj.oyed by all present.
BETA SIGMA PHI CHRISTMAS PARTY Xi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi held their Christmas party at the home of Christine Vickrey on Tuesday night, December 16, at 30 p. m. The holiday . atmos phere was carried out in. room decorations and also in the table decorations. The tables were decorated with red and green streamers. Small nut cups, filled i with Christmas candy, served as place cards. A delicious turkey dinner was served at 6:30. A lovely Christmas tree stood in one corner of the living room. Later in the evening Santa arrived and distributed the lovely gifts which were found tinder the the tree. Mystery pals were re vealed at this time. Following this, a very interesting program was given. Byrdie Reed favored the group with a Christmas story, then several games were played with prizes going to Margaret French, Dola June Braner and Edna Coyner. Names for mystery pals for the coming year were drawn. The girls in charge of the program were: Anna Lois Hanley, Lois Shepherd and Euleta Slover. ' Those present at the affair were Marilyn McMillan, Glenn.ovia Wright, Byrdie, Reed, Anna Lois Hanley, Eleanor Wyman, Euleta Slover, Mary Jane Moon, Jean Zink, Dola June Braner, Ramona Everly, the hostess, Christine Vickrey, and the assisting hostesses, Louise Doyle and Thelma Able. The next meeting of the Sorority will be on Jan. .6, with the place to be announced later. EAST HADDON . HOME EC CLUB The East Haddon Home Ec club enjoyed a delicious covered dish dinner at the home of Mrs. Wal ter Latshaw Thursday, December 18th. After the dinner the meeting was called to order by the vice president, Mrs. Walter Latshaw.
