SULLIVAN at Garfield. Carlisle at Dugger.

j Odon at Pleasantville. Merom at Flat Rock. Prairie Creek at Graysville. Blackhawk at Farmersburg. Sullivan County fives will play fourteen games this week, the heaviest schedule so far in the basketball race. Shelburn's Panthers, sporting and eight-game winning streak, will put that chain on the line tonight when they invade Washington to battle ;the powerful Catholic Cardinals. The Cards,

who lost to the Panthers in the

regional last year, have taken five straight games this year, and should give the Panthers a good battle., . Most .of the teams will have two games -this1 week before they start tapering off for the Christmas holidays, and some of them will count in the county league standings.

We had figured that the last football column of the season had been written, but after the , announcement of the All-Valley

teams Sunday, another one became necessary. This corner hadn't known how the Valley teams were selected, and when we saw what was named on the teams and who was given honorable mention, we got curious.

We disagree with some of the 'selections and some of the omissions. Bob Kaiser, who played a lot of tackle for the Arrows

last year, didn't even get honorable mention, which was distinctly an error. He deserved at least third team, and from what we saw of Branson, of Wiley, Cal Hilgediek was a much better back, yet Branson got first team and Cal only made the third team. Also Dean Brodie, who developed into a capable passer and signal-caller, was ignored in the picking. We can't understand how they did pick the players for the honor.
