Skidmore, was born in Piatt Co., Illinois, Aug. 2nd, 1880 and passed away Nov. 18ih, 1947, aged 67 years, 3 months and 17 days. He was united in marriage to Cora Metcalf Sept. 15, 1900. To this union were born five children, three boys and two girls, namely Raymond A. and Allan J. of Robinson, Viola Sink of Hymera, Ind., Ruth of Sullivan, Ind., who made her home with her father. One infant son, Alonzo W. Jr., also the mother preceded him in death. He leaves besides his children, two sisters, Alpha Spencer of Fairfield, 111., and Bell Springer of Robinson, 111.; four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews to mourn his passing. "Lon," as he was better known, came with his parents to Crawford county when a small boy. Most of his life was spent in and around Robinson and Sullivan, Ind., where he was making his home at the time of his death. Mcl
