It is an odd thing in these days high scoring to see a game of iii which both teams together only score 31 paints. And, it was a clean game. After the TigerFlat Rock game, we are beginning to wonder if maybe the New Lebano'n bunch isn't about the cleanest team in. the county. And, they don't use substitutes. Maybe they don't dare foul out. Another of the county schools gets into the swing of things Friday night when Coach Keck takes his Bulldogs to Lyons t o open the season. The Lyons squad beat Carlisle in the opening game for the Indians, and this will be their second crack at a . county team. Maybe Dugger can stop them. Incidentally, that game scheduled at the Community Gym for : Thursday night should be good. The Sportsmen, from up in ; Shelburn, are a nice outfit, and Hie News Stand team says that team will be as good as any independent team in these parts. So, it looks like it might be a warm evening. At any rate, the Jaycees are using the funds from 11

it for Christmas baskets, so that alone makes the game worth going to see. You know, Greasy Willis, who is quite a football official, and blows a mean whistle on the bas- ' ketball flopr, is going to get a little leery of the Jaycees. He is a member, by the way. Well, last Fall, when the Jaycees had their little donkey baseball game, ' Willis got in the way of a mule's hind leg, and had his left arm broken. So, for the game Thursday night, he volunteered to officiate gratis, but here is where the catch comes in. As a Jaycee, he must buy a ticket so he can get in the gym to officiate at the game for free. There will be "cause for rejoicing at either Farmersburg or Fairbanks FrUiay night.
